The ministry of Education has urged teachers to be wary as they travel to South Africa for this year’s ANTUSA games and cultural festival.
Ministry of Education Acting Permanent Secretary Owen Mgeme said teachers should take the opportunity given to exchange teaching experiences with other teachers in the SADC region.
Mgeme said he expects teachers to show the image of the country by refraining from being engaged in any activities that will compromise their visit.
He said this when he flagged off the 8th ANTUSA ceremony and said government with the support of BETUZ will continue supporting teachers i9n any field.
And speaking earlier the Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia (BETUZ) President Cosmas Mukuka appealed to the corporate world to consider supporting important initiatives which add value to quality teaching and learning skills in Zambia.
